Try living 1.5 miles from 4 track, and seven fucking crossing within a mile radius. Then sometimes you will get three trains simultaneously crossing. I cant even watch a movie without an interruption. Some times you might get a train that’s horn is not as loud, but more than likley the horn is malfunctioning. Thank god I rent. Fuck you U.P. Sothern Pacific, Burlington Northern. Screw you guys, I’m going home.

Fuck train horns ! It’s not necessary to blow so many times, and for MANY seconds. A few short bursts on each crossing is WAY more than enough. I’m SO tired of hearing them in the middle of the night, and I live at least a good 6-10 miles from the tracks. Who know what the people that live closer have to deal with.

Oh my god! There are others out there who are on my side of this insanity. Up until about 2 years ago I NEVER heard trains where I live. And then the city forgot to re-up the Quiet Zone because the administrator screwed up royally. Now trains are going by at all hours of the night blowing their fricking horns. Some of the conductors try to lay off while others are jags who deserve a few black eyes. Some of these conductors will at 3 or 4 AM just lay on the horn longer than the Federal rules say they should. Wake me up out of a dead sleep. It’s unreal. It happened just last night.

I sincerely believe there are people in high places who get their jollies off passing rules like this. And I think they DO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. How some of these people can stay in their jobs in Washington D.C. is unbelievable. Unfortunately, those of us who understand and voice our displeasure are far out-numbered by the mute – who gives a rip attitude folks and the madness gets more mad.

Oh well, all we can do is move or keep after our elected ‘leaders’ to do the right thing.
